Living our value of stewardship

Dear clients, colleagues and friends,

“Stewardship” is a word you’ll hear often at RSM. As one of our core values, stewardship describes our efforts to leave our firm, our communities and our planet better than we found them.

Our people live our value of stewardship every day through their individual actions. At the firm level, our enterprise stewardship committee provides oversight on all stewardship-related strategies, including how RSM:

• Drives an inclusive culture where everyone can be their authentic selves and achieve their potential
• Creates sustainable business practices to minimize our impact on our environment
• Enriches the communities in which we live and work

While we track many important statistics in these areas—how much we’ve given to charities (8.7 million), environmental events hosted with our people (more than 80) and the number of yearly volunteer hours (63,000)—it’s the personal stories that truly demonstrate the impact these efforts make on our people, clients, communities and planet. I encourage you to read a sampling of these stories, which are included throughout this report.

As our world continues to evolve, RSM will stay true to our core value of stewardship. We are extremely proud of the impact we’ve made so far and look forward to continuing to make a difference together with all of our people globally.
